In this unique insight, the Northern Ireland's Interim Mental Health Champion, explores the subjects of self-care and leadership. Leaders in community and voluntary sector organisations, as well as the statutory sector, have been at the forefront of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Northern Ireland but how do they maintain their resilience in order to offer the best possible support to people and communities? The answer, according to Professor Siobhan O'Neill: ‘As we face the second wave of the pandemic, leaders and people in our communities are faced with fresh demands on their levels of resilience to maintain good mental health and emotional wellbeing.
