What we do

At Developing Healthy Communities Northern Ireland, we have almost 30 years' experience improving peoples’ lives. Our innovative programmes focus on improving mental, physical and social wellbeing.

We support communities, families and work places through our mentoring, training and funding programmes, and champion healthcare needs with decision makers.

Part of a global wellbeing initiative, we connect people and facilitate conversations in order to share best practice.

Our Purpose 

We offer people and communities the opportunity to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. 

Our Approach

We hope to achieve our vision through:
  • Leadership and Influence: We are a valued agency that identifies and articulates the health and wellbeing needs of our communities.
  • Capacity Building and Training: We deliver capacity building and training opportunities, empowering people and communities to make positive choices about health and wellbeing.
  • Health Innovation: We are catalyst for the development and delivery of evidence-based community led health and wellbeing initiatives.

Our impact

At Developing Healthy Communities NI, we have almost 30 years' experience improving peoples' lives.

We support communities, families and work places through our mentoring, training and funding programmes, and champion healthcare needs with decision makers.
