Memes and mantras from our Clear Project team

Tomorrow (Friday 10 October) is World Mental Health Day, so in recognition of the Take 5 steps to wellbeing (especially their recommendation to 'connect' and 'give') our Clear Project team chose to share the affirmations, memes, mantras and sayings that are meaningful to them.

Carol shared this reminder that 'it's okay not to be okay,' in fact it's completely normal!
For Sinead, the message is: "Your mental health is a priority. Your happiness is an essential. Your self-care is a necessity."
Gill chose to share the timeless and enduring advice: "This too shall pass."

The Clear Project works to prevent suicide, self-harm, drug, and alcohol misuse through training, grants and capacity-building. In 2024/25, the team distributed £1,504,138 of Public Health Agency Short Term Funding to 475 groups.

For Sarah, "you can't pour from an empty cup" is an important reminder to look after yourself if you want to be ready to help others (perhaps by applying the Take 5 steps!)
"If you can change your mind, you can change your life," is the message from Pauline. She says: "I relate to this one as a positive mindset can achieve the goals you set in all aspects of your life."
Sarah-Jane's favourite wellbeing meme is this practical cheat sheet of actions to improve almost any mood.
